I recently aquired a small one and in the past I had lost a couple of these fish when they were young in the past. I've been told that they were wild young and imported from Africa. Will I need to dose them with something for parasites even though I don't see anything wrong with the fish....yet.
Thanks for any information. Rick

Re: RE: Anaspidoglanis macrostoma
Personally i only ever treat a fish if there is something wrong with it, never as a precautionary measure.
if the fish looks fine, it probably is. What are your thoughts?
is it flicking or itching?
is it feeding well?
is it breathing normally?
is it doing what anaspidoglanis do - ie hugging the bottom, using cover to hide a bit?

Nothing wrong with it yet. I have had this species in the past and they were eating and all and then one day I would just find them dead. My water ,ph and temp were good. They got a variety of food. I'm hoping I do better with this one.
