Can we add non-catfish species to the tank species list?
Good feature by the way!

You can't see them here: http://planetcatfish.com/forum/my_aquar ... name=Jools ?racoll wrote:Jools, have you added pictures to yours? If so I can't see them.
Aha! You've stumbled across one of my schemes for world domination! The short answers is no, but please do log a feature request! I do however have a long term plan for this and I do plan to allow it.racoll wrote:Can we add non-catfish species to the tank species list?

Now try hovering over them, I've just added this new feature which saves on clicking, gives you instant views of the images and is bandwidth neutral.racoll wrote:Is it possible to make the images clickable and therefore bigger?
When I hover over them, i only get a strip of about 1cm of the left hand side of the image. This is at work using IE6.Jools wrote:Now try hovering over them, I've just added this new feature which saves on clicking, gives you instant views of the images and is bandwidth neutral.racoll wrote:Is it possible to make the images clickable and therefore bigger?

Hi Martin,Martin S wrote:As per my post in the bugs forum, I am still unable to upload an image for my aquaria! Again I have tried uploading a jpg and a jpeg, but both give me the same message.
Have also tried extension in capital letters, making the file dimensions smaller and shortening the filename, but all no joy!
I am assuming there is no limitiations on the files?
Martin
OK, have emailed you at webmaster address. I even tried with another image, but still nothing.Jools wrote: Hi Martin,
It must be <512K in size. Filename shouldn't matter. If you're still stuck, email me the file and I will try it to see why it is failing.
Cheers,

Fixed, the hover over function will only display fixed width first time around. So I've taken that option rather than the "point at it twice" thing.racoll wrote:Much better, although the first time I hover over them, the image does not appear (only a thin strip). Only appears the second time.
OK, an improvement has been made whereby the image width is captured at upload time and so your image will display at it's intended size first time. Hoorah! Anyone uploading images before now (e.g. the time this post was made) will have their images default to 640 pixels wide, but if you wish them to size properly, just simply upload them again.Jools wrote:Fixed, the hover over function will only display fixed width first time around. The additional information is now displayed where I think you were expecting it to be. I forgot to add it in previously.DutchFry wrote:question: i can add some additional information, and i did, but i can't view this anywhere, can you? and if so, how?
There aren't any instructions (and maybe there should be) but the idea is that you create populations and then assign them to tanks. So, just add the same species again and then add it to a different tank. This is because, say you have two groups of a species and one of them breeds, well, you'll want to know about the tank they are in , what was different from the other tank, that kind of thing.Carp37 wrote:Apologies if I've missed instructions somewhere, but I can't seem to assign species to more than one aquarium- it just seems to overwrite the previous aquarium. Nice feature though...
Basically I had got another species and was adding them to "My Cats" and noticed the red writing "Not assigned to an aquarium" and thought "hmmmm red writing on the screen, that wasn't there last time, how do I make that go away". A couple of clicks later and I was updating details about my tank setups. It wasn't till tonight when I was trying to add a picture (which I still can't add. I have put it in a folder with no spaces in the path in case it is that old space in the file path issue) that I found this thread, which let me know I was on a really new feature.I am also interested in the comment about "stumble upon" and so interested in suggestions on how to better promote use of the feature.
Perhaps some more links such as one here or here?I am also interested in the comment about "stumble upon" and so interested in suggestions on how to better promote use of the feature.
Whoops! Yes, good spot, that is fixed now, sorry for any lost typing!krazyGeoff wrote:Hi again Jools,
Thought you should also know that the display for the description field on the "aquaria of 'username' " page displays less text than you can save when you edit the details.
