L018 and L177

Post by clint8 »

Hi I was wondering what the difference between these 2 fish are? I know that L018 are considered the common gold nuggets and the L177 are called Iriri-yellow nuggets.
How do you distinguish them apart? Please help.

Cheers,
Clint

L177 have bigger dots and max out at a smaller size.

The December 2000 Catfish of the Month discusses this very subject in considerable detail.

Many vendors label all gold nugets as L177, as they think they can get a better price for them that way.

hi L18 L81 and L177 are basically different in spot sizes.. they are all very beautiful, but for me a 6inch L177 is the most stricking of them all bec. they have larger spots they are very stricking.. :D L18 I think is the med spotted and L81 are the small spotted :)
