Help! Stuck Bumblebee

Post by dreamcat »

Having a mini-emergency with a bumblebee who has got its head stuck. Unfortunately its inside a rock, and so i don't think i can enlarge the opening. The only way out is backward, so i've tried tapping the rock VERY gently, and i've tried using a cottonbud to push its nose, however i don't know how hard i can press without causing injury/more stress. Its only a little one.. 6-7 cms
Any advice much appreciated..

S'all ok now, tried again sucessfully and not even dented. I don't know whose sigh of relief was louder. Little guy's been gorging on bloodworm at lights out (better that than bristlenose kittens :P ) and hasn't yet realised he needs to move house..
