i have seen on a few websites here and there that people have bought synos at petsmart that are labeled synodontis longirostrus. well i picked up two today at my local pet smart and here is what i got. i thought these looked similar in patterning to the synodontis longirostris on this site. other than that their head doesnt look quite as long. i figured i would post a few pics of what i got at the petsmart in whitehall pennsylvania. they are pretty small yet, about 1 and 1/2" approx.

It doesn't look like it, as far as the specimens i have encountered go - it looks like it could be one of the various hybrids out there & the more i look the more i feel it is sorry

Authentic longirostris have a long muzzle like that of a horse, and that fish certainly doesn't.
