Re: Which Synodontis?
Hi
Ive purchased 2 of these here in sweden and they where said to be caught in the wild in a remote place, cant remember the place but when i mentioned hybrid he said that wasnt the case. Is there a conclusion to that it is a for sure a hybrid or not?
Here´s a pic of one of mine.

Your LFS person is either misinformed or he is referring to the Czech Republic as "a remote place"Fishweed wrote:Ive purchased 2 of these here in sweden and they where said to be caught in the wild in a remote place

And definitely not wild-caught in the Czech Republic. Of course, the LFS in Sweden may not know that they are not wild-caught if their supplier is misinforming them (either through themselves being misinformed, or lying directly).Marc van Arc wrote:Your LFS person is either misinformed or he is referring to the Czech Republic as "a remote place"Fishweed wrote:Ive purchased 2 of these here in sweden and they where said to be caught in the wild in a remote place

Re: Which Synodontis?
These seem to be cropping up all over the place now!
As hybrids go they are "good looking" & cheap, (IME) so i can't see the supply being reduced - (sigh) i really hate hybrids. Actually i hate the fact man has developed them & introduces the fish into the trade, the fish themselves can't help it obviously

Re: Which Synodontis?
As said elsewhere, species like this need a Clog entry to avoid confusion imho.
