Happiness & Security of Plecostomus

I have two Plecostomus in two aquariums. In Aquarium A: I have Killer, he is about over 3 inches long.
In Aquarium B: I have Scavenger, he is just over 2 inches long.

each aquarium is 6.3 liters. Now each pleco has of the following:

Fake Plant
5 inch Greek stone column
5 big white marbles
a few small marbles
1 big rock. (Note: Scavenger's big rock is a tad smaller.)
1 Oyster Shell

Both Plecos are always hiding and I have seen my Plecostomus to know that they look happy and content.
My Plecostomus look secure knowing i won't hurt them, since I live in a small aquarium, and a 100 gallon aquarium isn't possible, there is no need for something too large. 6.3 liter aquarium is right for me and my Plecostomus. Please be kind and nice to me. Thank you.

My only question would be what kind of filtration do you have on the tanks. And are you considering geting bigger aquariums when they get bigger. At least a 45.5 liter tank or 10 us gallons I think would be okay for a small apartment. i'm in a 720 sq ft apartment and i have a 29 gallon. and a 2 gallon.

filters are in the works soon as I can get one that fits my aquarium... I have a small table which 2 aquariums and 1 fish bowl is on and I am not kidding to say, I might be able to upgrade to a little bigger aquarium size, but not any bigger than that because space in this small apartment is limited and I still have stuff in Texas that hasn't been brought up here yet. Anyway, I slowly get the things I need when time and money allows, besides I think my Plecos are secure and happy for what I see.

Send pics we always love to see fishy set ups. I saw a filtration system at petsmart for up to 3 us gallons. I was thinking of getting it for my 2 gallon. I have only an undergravel in the 2. I know all about the money issues. I'm sure your fish wouldn't mind sharing a 10 gallon. Plus doing water changes on just one aquarium would save time too, and it's easier to deal w/ health problems. They will have a better chance of you spotting an illness in a larger tank. In a smaller tank they could be over run before you could do anything. Hope to see pics.

as these beasts will both grow over 1 foot, your tanks will be far too small

they might seem sufficient for now, but an 3 inch fish in 6.3 liters is, in my eyes torture

It seems to me that your setup is problematic. I've seen a 2" common pleco grow to 6" in a few months. Your fish will not be able to do that in 6l tank and will likely be permanently damaged healthwise.

I would consider giving the fish away.

Sorry, this isn't probably the news you want to hear, but I'm afraid your plecos (I assume from the avatar they are

Pterygoplichthys pardalis

?) will not live more than a year or so in this accommodation. They really need a 100g tank (I think from your comment you know this already). They get to like half a meter long, and live for over 20 years.

A big commitment for a fish that cost $2.99 eh?

There are loads of fish nowadays that are suitable for nano tanks, so I suggest you move your plecos on before they die, and try and get something more manageable.

You can put a much bigger tank in an apartment. Honestly, I'm not buying that as an answer as to why you don't have a bigger one. I'm trying to jump on ya, but you need a bigger tank for the plecos you have.

My setup:

Currently, in one room of my two bedroom apartment, I'm running:

1) 75 gallon - Oscar and Common Pleco
1) 40 gallon - Plecos and Corys
1) 29 gallon - Bristlenoses
3) 20 gallon Long - Kribs, Chacas, and Banjos
1) 10 gallon - Neolamprologus multifasciatus

Of note: The 20 gallons and the 10 are all in 2 metal racks, purchased from Walmart for $40 each.
