I got these at the store one was advertised as something angelicus the other as longenstrutas? I am pretty sure they are neither,and in fact the angelicus thing i thhink is just to get people interested enough to buy,I just thought that he was cool

#2 might be Syno decorus, but the pic is too blurry to tell. I have a fish that looks quite like it, but it is probably a "Valentine Syno", which is a hybrid. The way to tell is if the maxillary barbels have filaments on them. Also, in S. decorus the dorsal fin eventually grows a filamentous extension.

Here's my fish. It's missing its left pec fin.

Thanks I have a decorus but they are not similar in that the one I have up there is just spots and none of them are connected as in the decorus.I think it might be a hybrid.Sorry for the pic but it is the best one that I have and since he is so small right now it is hard to get him in range for better pics.Thanks for the input

The top fish looks like Ocellifer - (they are very variable & some even have no spots!)

The bottom fish could be the hybrid "valentine" which has decorus somewhere in it's parentage
