I've got a small school of them, and all 6 are the same species, but I can't seem to figure out for sure what species they are.
On wet web media they have a picture that looks nearly identical to them that they say are Corydoras melanistius, yet it gives a link to fishbase to look at them more and that/those pictures look nowhere near the ones I have. Nor do the ones that this site has.

Pls note that FB has many unverified pictures. They go with the caption: May be another species. I checked C. melanistius (which has no such caption) and when I clicked the picture I got four that are supposed to be C. melanistius, but are actually 2 different species. Which indicates that verified is not always properly verified.
With regard to your species: I instantly thought of the above species too.
You'd better wait for the experts; they won't be long.
This is definitely true- I've seen catfish with pictures of tetras and cichlids with pictures of gouramis (I kid you not) on FishBase, although they do seem to update them from time to time.
