Nice - my Dad would be envious as he has a thing for Amaryllis although he has so many different varieties...

I use my excess water for the plant tubs out on the patio & store any leftover for the tubs as they nedd loads in the (albeit brief) summer here in the uk.

With my weekly water changes I use the water as follows:

In spring/summer/fall -
1 bucket for the houseplants
2 buckets for the plants on deck
2 buckets for the plants in front of the house
and the rest for tomatoes.

In Winter(or when the plants are dead)
1bucket for the house plants
Rest I use the water on where the tomatoes are going to be planted

I never throw the water down the drain.

Your water does wonders on the Amaryllis,but also on your L333. Nice pictures of both.

I also use the tank water to put on flowers and plants. More so in the summer than winter tho.

I usually only use tank water on it in the Summer when it is sitting outside on my front steps. This is the first time I continued into the Winter, it's blooming season. And I think it was a mistake to do so. It grew great leaves, so heavy they are now all flopped over. But only 2 spikes, 4 flowers. Far less than in previous years. I think the high nitrate inhibited the flowering. But what flowers they are! Almost orchid-like. And the plant is HUGE. That's a 14" pot it is in, and a Queen size bed it is on. The longest leaves are about 2.5 feet.

It now has 11 mature offshoots and several smaller ones. It has never been divided. My goal was a large specimen plant. I've owned since it was a single 2" bulb. It is about 20 years old now.
