Avatar help

I've tried uploading an avatar several times over the past few weeks and I've been unsuccessful. Can anyone please explain it to me?
Sorry about putting it under the bugs n site suggestions forum, but I wasn't sure where to put it.

That feature is currently broken - it has been reported before and I fixed it but, surprise surprise, it's broken again.

I'll have a look at it today.

Just to update you that this will be fixed in the forum upgrade (I've tested it and it works fine) and that's only a week or two away.

Hi,

It doesn't matter how many times you try it, it won't work unless you use the remote upload option. Anyway, the forum will be upgrade in the next few days and so this will fix the problem.

I thought the upgrade had already taken place last Monday (Dec 31). The site was "closed" all day (band width exceeded - or something like that....) at least over here.

That I don't really know - Jools would, I expect. I don't even think I went online on Monday... Edit: Checking my posts: No, I didn't post anything [and I doubt I went to this site without posting - that would be very unusual!]

PC exceeded its bandwidth for the month.

Since it was the 31st, Jools decided to let it wait.

Correct, it went over the limit at 08:14 GMT - no point in getting in a fix as December was unusually high usage - it appears at least. If it happens again in January I'll look at upping the limit/cost.

I get txted every hour it is down and emailed when it is within 10% of the limit beiugn reached.

I can't figure out how to upload an avatar now. I can't get into my own profile page. I can't even change anything on my "my cats" page! Is there something I'm missing?

Josh,

The "profile page" is accessed via a link at the top left of the screen and is now described as "User Control Panel" as it does a lot more than just the profile settings these days.

You appear to have uploaded an avatar now or was that an old one?

You don't have any "mycats" records as far as I can see?

The "Profile" is now called "User Control Panel", and is available in the white part at the top of the page, just under "Board Index". There you will find "Profile", and one of the tabs to the left is "Edit Avatar". If this is not helping [I hope it does!], please describe what you are doing and where things go wrong.
