Help identify my spotted yellowish 3" pl*co

Post by fishlover88 »

So i got this guy from petsmart as an unknown pl*co. I knew right away that it wasnt supposed to be there. I didnt know exactly what it was. I think it is from the hypostomus sp.

I have two pictures. The first is from above while the fish is in a bucket. And the second is from the tank, because i know it helps to see the dorsal fin. However the picture is low quality, and it has done a good job at keeping me from getting a better one.

Yes, I would agree with . Which one is much harder to say, although the colour pattern isn't THE most common, there are several that have darker spots on a lighter brown base colour.

It would help to have a (clear) close-up of the mouth.
