Otocinclus flexilis?
Otocinclus flexilis?
Hi guys,
Would this be otocinclus flexilis? It certainly does not look like the others and the larger one is about 5-6 cm long.
Heard that O. flexilis grows up to a maximum of 10 cm. At least 7 cm on the average.
Any comments/advice is appreciated.
Thanks!
Cheers,

That is <i>O. flexilis</i> (the question now remains as to whether or not benny's fish are the same species).
<i>Otocinclus flexilis</i> is one of the largest species of <i>Otocinclus</i>, but it doesn't reach the size as benny stated. They max out at 55 mm SL. Larger "<i>Otocinclus</i>" are probably other hypoptopomatine genera (such as <i>Hypoptopoma</i>).

Isbrücker & Seidel erected the genus Macrotocinclus for the species O. flexilis and O. affinis.Larger "Otocinclus" are probably other hypoptopomatine genera (such as Hypoptopoma).
