Sexing syno Multipuntatus

Post by jschulst »

I have a large group of wild syno multiputatus I will be selling at great prices, but first I need some pictures to compare to when sexing them to find out what I have on hand.

I've tried to look for the "wang" holding it out of water, but it's still hard to see one to be sure it's a male or not.

Can anyone help?

Adolescent and mature males have a kind of papilla just in front of the anal fin. No microscopes needed; you can see it with the bare eye.

It should be fairly easy & obvious to see - how many are in the group & how big are they?
