Breeding L075

Post by Ben Moore »

Hello,

I have a colony of L075's which I would like to have a crack at breeding, does any know of anyone that has bred them? are they breedable or is this just a too hard basket?

If anyone has some tips I would love to hear and I will take some photo's of them and the set up soon.

cheers
Ben

Janne Ekström bred L147, which is a very similar species.

Here's the article on that one:

Like Mats said, L75 are similar to L147 so you can use that article as background info. I have bred L75 too and there will be an article on PC about them also, they need to be around 15 cm or more to be mature and before that it's very difficult to sex them.

Ah, yes, it's a Catfish of the Month article: http://www.planetcatfish.com/cotm/cotm. ... cle_id=159

[I did think there was such an article, but I couldn't find it in Shane's world, so I thought that I just didn't remember right - which wouldn't have been the first time - but looking at the Cat-eLog entry gives a COTM link.]
