AWWW. Poor sterbai. It looks to be a fungal infection IMO. Any fungal remedy should help. Melafix n Pimafix maybe. Good luck. ;)

Thanks. I wondered if it were Velvet or Gas Bubble Disease?

Costia.
Very easy to tell for sure by viewing a skin smear under a microscope.
Columnaris tends to take 'em quickly.

Check out my thread just bellow yours. Looks very similar. I treated with jungle fungus cure for a day, 50% WC then 1/2 strength jungle fungus cure then no more after that. Erythromycin on every day 1-6 also with 50% WC's every day. I thought my fish had columnaris but I am no expert which is why I went with a fairly broad spectrum approach. Whatever he had and whatever I did it worked and the fish is now back to normal. He was bad to the point where he was having to struggle to the surface to breath :(

This is what he looked like before I put him in the hospital tank. He went from just having fuzz on the fin edges to full body like this in a matter of days (2 or so)

I see... I've isolated him and giving a dose of Melafix. I hope that'll do the trick.
