Panaque nigrolinatus and plastic tanks

Post by grokefish »

I would like to retract a comment that I made a while back regarding panaques and plastic tanks
I had said that I kept a panaque in a plastic tank for years with no problems.
I have noticed now that the tanks surface was covered with millions of tiny scratches which are only noticeable very close up.
It took me 8 hours to polish them out.
Do not keep this panaque in acrylic tanks.
Thank you
Matt
One more bucket of water and the farce is complete.

You're quite right there m8.
I,ve even had to change powerheads due to the power cables being almost eaten to the cores.
