[C135] or another Corydoras from rio Tapajos...

Hello,

I'm looking for a Corydoras from Rio Tapajos (or it's tributary). A long noze would be better .
C135 seem to be a good option, but I can't find informations about it's biotiope...

Is there somebody who got's some informations about this Corydoras?

The only other Cory from Tapajos that we have listed in the Cat-eLog is C. ornatus

@ Mats : I saw that C.ornatus comes from Tapajos. But it's not a "long noze". Very nice cory, but I'm now looking for a long noze.

@ Ian : corydorasworld is a mine of information. I have not introduce myself yet. My poor english first and my experience witch is very short comparing to other contributors. I did not explore the wole site...

C135 comes from the Amapa region of Brazil, http://www.v-brazil.com/tourism/amapa/map-amapa.html which is situated north of the mouth of the Amazon. the Rio tapajos is a southern tributary of the Amazon, and forms part of the Western border of the state of Para.

However, on your list, 3 corys may interessed me.

- C. cochui / C144 (I also have C. hastatus, C. habrosus and C. pygmaeus)

- C. gracilis, very beautiful.

- C086, exactly what I am looking for.

C. cochui and C144 are extremely rare in the hobby. They are very small fishes and collectors favour catching the larger more expensive species so the little ones are ignored. It is only when Hobbyists go to collect that we see these fishes.

How small are these cory? I can see why you find them interesting!

Both C. cochui and C sp C144 reach a staggering 32 mm SL. for adult females, males are even smaller.
