just a side post here: but what are some of Redtail catfish in particular, favourite fish foods.
i feed tilapia mostly, but is there a food they just go wild for?

I wouldn't say there is a food that a RTC wants more then any other go goes crazy for. A good varied diet is important & you could try a variety of freshwater fish (as opposed to oily saltwater fish like mackerel), prawns, crab, & soft fruits like plums or nectarines. It takes some individuals time to get used to new offerings but they are all accepted.
