I just know that they come from Manaus (whaou...).

It may be an Ancistrus dolichopterus...but I'm not sure.

No, it's definitely not A. dolichopterus - it has 8 dorsal rays, not 12.

My guess would be L182 although 180, 181 and 182 all look alike, L182 is easier to find or more commonly found.

Little spawn, about 30 eggs.
I think they will still Ancistrus sp

I would say , they are normally not so dark like the picture shows. They look exactly as yours when they arrive from Rio tapajos to the exporters.

I'll try to take other picts of them. Now they are in good condition, they are black / deep blue with a lot of little white spots.
I trought first it was L181. Not so far

That´s probably due to the fact that L71 and L181 are considered to be the same species..

I am not sure they are the same, they dont come from the same river but look similare.

Hi,

Some news about these fishes

Now the 2 spawns are growing very fast.
I'll take a set of picts ASAP. the adults are now very dark with a multitude of small white spots.
Some picts of L213? However, it comes from Tapajos too...
