A tour of my fishroom...

Post by Seedy »

Well...Here's my "fish room". It's smaller than many, but bigger than some. It's not necessarily "pretty" but the decor is "All Me"... I can spend many many hours sitting in this room:pop::pop::pop: There is always something going on.

Image

As you enter the room, there is a 4 foot rack holding a 29g (Altolamprologus calvus "white" grow out...a few other oddballs, and 20g with killi and guppy fry up top.

On the lower shelf is a 29 with 2 "Eureka Red" Peacocks as well as two 5 gallon killi tanks.

The same wall also houses an old macramé owl I have hung vintage fishing lures from:

Turning right you see the Cyprichromis leptosoma "sumbu" tank on the desk:

In the corner lives a black locker with more old lures:

Further right is the "log jam" 3 foot tank with a "yellow bellied shellie" tank underneath:

Filter sitting between tanks:

Turned back now towards the entrydoor you see work bench with 4 footer underneath:

Finally you come around to the 20 gallon planted tank next to the door:

But i dont see any catfish tanks :o

:) nice fishroom and nice to see a fishroom with space to actually sit down and relax, the mistake myself and many other people make is to fill every last square inch of space with tanks and have no place just to sit and watch the fish for a few hours.

The 40g "log jam" tank in the corner by the "black locker" is full of catfish...2 Panaque spp. and 10corydoras spp.. Also, there are catfish in several of the tanks, 1 or 3 here and there.

I was only joking with you, i knew there would be a few hiding about somewhere.

When you walk into my fishroom you cant miss the catfishes, you open the door and the first tank you see has a whopping great living log in the shape of a 2 foot long L.pictus staring at you and there are a few other 18" plus cats in various tanks around the room.
When ive finished moving all the tanks into the new fish house i'll post some tour pictures up.

Well, a 2 foot anything is quite impressive! I know you have more gallons in one tank, than I have in my entire house! :D

Give me a few years...maybe we'll catch up :)
