What size/age can the sexes of these fish be told apart?
Current cat collection: 0.0.2 Noturus miurus; 0.0.1 Ameiurus natalis; 0.0.3 Otocinclus hoppei; 0.0.2 Otocinclus sp. (unknown ATM)
On the way: 0.0.1 Noturus insignis
And definitely planning to expand. :D

My thinking is the Platydoras costatus probably reaches sexual maturity at about 4-1/2 to 5 inches. Never heard of any successful breeding of this species nor specific sex differences.

There is info on sexing them on an article in Shane's World. I enjoy breeding fish, and I just wanted to have a more challenging fish. I'm also going to try to breed bullheads and white catfish, which, to my knowledge, have not been bred in an aquarium yet.
