No, it's definitely not A. dolichopterus - it has 8 dorsal rays, not 12.

Hi,

No idea?
What do you think about L181?
The first spawn is done, may be it will help for identification...

My guess would be L182 although 180, 181 and 182 all look alike, L182 is easier to find or more commonly found.

I would say , they are normally not so dark like the picture shows. They look exactly as yours when they arrive from Rio tapajos to the exporters.

I'll try to take other picts of them. Now they are in good condition, they are black / deep blue with a lot of little white spots.
I trought first it was L181. Not so far :)
Lot of thanks for your reply!!

Hi,
I trought first it was L181.
That´s probably due to the fact that L71 and L181 are considered to be the same species.. :D

I've just picked up a pair of identical looking fish to C-Magnier's.

I shall try to get photos.

Has anyone looked at L213? Very similar.

Hi,

Some news about these fishes :D
Now the 2 spawns are growing very fast.
I'll take a set of picts ASAP. the adults are now very dark with a multitude of small white spots.
Some picts of L213? However, it comes from Tapajos too...
