Confirmation on S.flavitaeniatus and other new aquisitions

Mainly I wish to confirm that I indeed have two S.flavitaeniatus which I am quite sure they are,I am most excited about these

yup, it's the real thing

but why just 2? this is maybe the most peaceful of all riverine Syno's (not counting contractus), so it can be kept in a group.

I once kept a pair and never saw them, they gave any Auchenipterid a run for the money

back then I just didn't know, but now I realize that if I did have a group of say 5 or 6 I wouldn't have had that problem.

What you may have forgotten is that they cost a lot of money back then.
So besides the "ignorance" it could have been a lack of money as well.
I don't know what they "do" today....

I would have no problem grabbing at least six flav's but there were only two among a tank of angelicus

Nice oncinus!

The flavs are really nice too, just so cute at that size & as sid says very peaceful so well worth getting a nice group.

Most often referred to as Jaguar Catfish
