New girl saying hello
New girl saying hello
Hi everyone,nice to 'meet' you
I have kept various types of catfish for several years now and my special interest is smaller, non predatory types.
I have kept and still do keep many types of corydoras and I love ottos and twigs.I have also had a small amount of breeding success with the easier corydoras and also sturisomas.
I have been trying to obtain a small group of Hyalobagrus flavus for many months now(seems like years )
I'm looking for about 6 or so and although I'm willing to travel ideally I'd like them to be within 100 miles of the West Midlands in the UK.
If anyone can help me to get some of these fish or knows a retailer with some in stock I'd be very happy to hear from you
Thanks for reading,I am looking forward to joining in the forum, from what I've read so far it seems like a great place.

Welcome to Planet catfish
Nice to see someone local to me for a change!
I am not aware of anywhere off hand (i might have missed them as they probably wouldn't attract my attention) but i do get around a bit so will let you know if i see any.
Another alternative would be to ask your lfs (if you are on particularly good terms with them) to see if it is on any of their wholesaler lists & see if they can make enquiries for you. This relies on having a very good relationship with the lfs - i can ask my former employer if you wish?
I think BAS have the similar H Ornatus (pelteobagrus)

Some of the Pelteobagrus were recently changed to .he said that pelteobagrus ornatus is the previous name
Pelteobagrus is no longer valid as a genus.
The fish known in the trade as Pelteobagrus ornatus was in fact a different species ().
is however a valid species, but is not exported to the aquarium trade.
Does this make sense
