Hi all :)

I'm looking for nice catfish to add to my catfish/cichl*d tank.

I especially like the bigmouth cats.
Since i live in the middle of nowhere i have nothing intresting in my area, who can tell me where to get nice cats for my 200x65x80cm tank?

Allready have a Ornate bagrid witch made my catfish addiction start, have some pleco's en Lnumbers aswell.

For example searching these species:
Liosomadoras oncinus
Sorubim lima
Pseudomystus siamensis
Orinocodoras eigenmanni

Many thanks for info in advance!

Hi & welcome to PC.
First off: what's an Ornate bagrid?
My first idea would be .
About LFS-ses:
Oranje Hoogerheide used to be quite nice and is not very far from your place(but I don't know if it still exists...)
Maanvis Nijmegen is okay
Aqua Ferrytale Amersfoort has nice fishes
Aqua Tropica Zevenaar ditto.
Van Haren Den Bosch usually has some odd fish.
I don't know if all these shops have websites, but you could google for them.

BTW: the chance of finding all 4 species you're looking for in place is very limited.
For example P. siamensis: I've seen 2 in Deurne and 1 in Eindhoven, which of course doesn't make a group.
I'm looking for L. oncinus myself. I was able to buy 2 females in Germany some years ago and haven't seen them since while they seem to be pretty abundant in the UK these days.
Usually I go to Germany to find unusual catfishes.

The Ornate bagrid is , dating from before the African bagrids were split off as Claroteidae.

That's the one indeed.

Tnx for the info Marc!
The lfs in Hoogerheide is currently called Bubbelsbv.nl and has a little bit of everything but unfortunatly only the very common fishes.

Tryed to visit de maanvis last week, couldn't find it and ran out of time, sh*t happens :)

Will try to visit again soon and also the other menthioned places.
