Madtom Breeding

Post by mikey »

Does anyone have any experience in breeding madtoms? I have collected two different species from Missouri and would like to breed them. I have N. exilis and some banded madtoms of some sort.

Here's a report on breeding N. stanauli. and another on breedingN. phaeus.
Goldstein et al. (American Aquarium Fishes) gives you instructions on how to try breeding them.
