Hi,
It's been a long time since I've been here. I took a little time-out on aquariumkeeping. But the itch came up again and I bought a 20G for a very suitable price. It's a Juwel Rekord 80.
I always wanted to build a rivertank and I was wondering wich cats or loaches are best to keep in a mini wild river. Any suggestions on stocking?
EDIT: I was thinking of Schistura species. But what should go with this species. I would rather not have to much species in the tank, so two is max.
New 20G suitable rivertank?

Frankie,
Sounds like a good idea for a tank.
There are lots of interesting fish coming out of India and Myanmar (Burma) at the moment. Maybe go for a regionally themed tank?
Most of these like cooler running water, and are quite small.
A tank in the low 20s Celsius with sand, gravel, cobbles and a bogwood would be perfect.
Provide a good current with powerhead.
There are loads of new Danio, Rasbora, and Barbus to fill the mid-water.
You could have catfish such as or an sp.
Loaches such as Sewellia lineolata or Schistura cf. balteata would be cool.
A small spiny eel would also be a possibility.....
