In your opinion, what is the best Cory?

Post by Cory Lover 1 »

Hey everyone,

In a little bit I'm planning to get about 3-5 more Corydoras. And in the past I've researched most species there is, I even went through all the species of Corydoras in the Cat-eLog (that took about 20 hours lol, but I didn't do the ones with out a latin name). But I really need some people's opinions on what are some of the best Cories.

Thanks for any suggestions!

BTW, I have C. cervinus, C. aeneus, C. zygatus, C. trilineatus, C paleatus, C. schwartzi, and C. acrensis. So don't suggest any of those please :D

Hmmmm, i don't know how anyone could possibly say what the "best" cory is without a definition of what defines "best".

Obviously availability will be key to what you can get your hands on but the following are some of my absolute favourites.

Gracilis
Fowleri
Coppenamensis
Caudimaculatus
Narcissus
Weitzmani
Reynoldsi

I dare say everyone answering you will have their own favourites & most will be different

All the best

I love them all, but right now I am favouring the long nose varities like Fowleri or Semiaquilus.

Other favourites are:
Caudimaculatus
Concolor
Weitzmani
Panda
Eques
