I can say for sure that, unless the fish was captive bred, it's from South America (ok, we have to "stretch" the geographic definition a little bit a tiny bit north of the Panama Canal), as all Loricariidae, and thus Ancistrus, are definitely only native in this slightly stretched definition of South America.robby1619 wrote:I belive South America..not 100% sure
The body shape is pretty close to the LDA72 or?
(LDA72)[1] is not exactly a unique body shape. Most of the Ancistrus have a similar body-shape to this.
[1] I prefer to use the proper scientific name for fish that has such.
