Is this a Synodontis Acanthomias?

I would appreciate any help identifying my Synodontis, all attempts at photography failed so I took a video with a digital camera which when I have reviewed really isn't the best either!. It only comes out with the Moonlight blue tubes on so there's a lack of light for the camera.

As you will see he likes to dig (exposed under gravel heater cable, I cover it up, it digs it out again!)and move things (upturned flower pot!)and I would say it's between 8 and 10 inches in size.

I wasn't sure about putting a video in my personal gallery so I've put it on youtube

Certainly looks like one although it is still "small" for an Acanthomias. How is it wilth the other fish in the tank? There looked to be another syno in one of the photos - any aggression between them or rather directed at the other syno? I have found acanthomias to be teritorial & quite aggressive to each other & other syno species

Hi Richard

Its in a 6x2x2 ft tank, the other syno's I have in there are 4 Ocellifer's. The "acanthomias" pretty much keeps itself to itself the only time it really bothers with anything is if they try and get under its piece of wood or if the ocellifers settle right in front of it and it'll sometimes charge out towards them, they take off and it retreats back under its wood. I've never seen it being persistent or vicious with any of the other fish. I would maybe describe it as a grumpy fish!

The ocellifers chase each other a bit more but again not viciously, they all seem to know their place and they all have plenty of hiding places so there's no trouble, they are out a lot in the evening as well when they know its close to feeding time so I see quite a lot of them.

Apart from that theres about 10 Cory's, 3 talking cats and some dwarf hoplos and they are left well alone, as are the Cichlids.

They are quite talkative; my big one warns the other synos to keep their distance by verbal means rather than violence; although it could certainly kick butt if it wanted to.
