Food for a Leporacanthicus sp.?

Post by PoohBear »

I bought an L91 about a month ago. He is housed with two smaller L75s. I put in NLS wafers each night, and they are gone in the morning, but I don't know if it's just the L75s that are eating them, as I rarely see the L91 move from his hiding spot. I tried offering a slice of yellow zucchini that I had let sit in crushed garlic for several hours. None of the plecos touched it. There are two rocks with some algae on them that something has been grazing, but again, not sure which plecos. There is also a piece of driftwood.

Is there anything else I should be offering the leporacanthicus?

Prawn/shrimp in the shell would work well on the Leporacanthicus species.

I doubt Leporacanthicus eates algae at any noticable rate.

Note also that almost all plecos don't figure out what is and isn't food for a little while, so it may take a few attempts before they figure out what it is.
