i need help on IDing a catfish.. unfortunately i don't have a pic..

i just saw this catfish at an lfs, body shape and color is similar to a Brachyplatystoma rousseauxii .. but it has scattered black spots... its like a Platynematichthys notatus that has a body shape & fins similar to a Brachyplatystoma.. anyone have an idea what it is?

i was tempted to buy it but it was a little beat up and i wanted to find out more about it before i purchase it.. darn i forgot to take some pics :?

Probably a young
Brachyplatystoma filamentosum

yeah, that looks like its the one.. its looses its spots when it gets bigger? darn i sort of like the spots :cry:
