I tried googling, and there's not much info, really. They come from Rio San Francisco in southern Brazil.

I don't expect it to be a common import.

For care, it shouldn't be particularly demanding, and I'd expect it to eat a normal herbivore diet of vegetables and algae, supplemented with a small addition of meaty food now and again.
