Squliforma doesn't have the distinct "beard" on the mouth that the Aphanotorolus has. See this pic (from Cat-eLog):natefrog wrote:This fish looks very similar to my Squaliforma cf. emarginata. Same shape, coloration and markings. Pretty confident on this one.

If it's got that "hair" at the back of the mouth, it's definitely not a Squaliforma spp, as they have a "solid" edge of the mouth. [Unfortunately, there's no good shots of a Squaliforma mouth anywhere...]

Hi guys!
First of all, thanks for all the response...
I tried and tried but this ones very camera shy!
I think it's afraid of the camera...
Everytime I have the cam near it, it runs away and hide...
Anyway, I'm positive it's a Aphanotorulus ammophilus
It has that hairy beard on its lip area.
