Nice set up. Fishes seem very at ease in your tank. And even a background. Well done.
The pictures themselves are also very good.

I agree with Marc, nice setup.

My only comment would be that the gravel is on the course side for keeping corys, as they like fine gravel (or better yet sand). You may be able to please them by replacing just a part of the gravel with some suitable sand (playsand from the garden centre in 25 kg bags for about 4 pounds is the cheapest good sand. , but since it's not a very large tank, you could probably buy a small bag of aquarium sand for the same money in your LFS).

Saving grace is that the gravel you have is nice and rounded, so it's much better than the "sharp" gravel that you find in some shops (particularly the "crushed marble" white or coloured stuff).

Hi.

I agree. A very attractive natural tank.

The pictures of the rams are great. They look really healthy, but is my understanding that rams should be kept in warm water (27-30C) while the panda corydoras should be kept cool at 22-25C.

I don't have experience of either species, so I can't offer much of an opinion, but I was wondering what you knew about rams, how long you have had them and what temp you keep them at. Perhaps the tank bred varieties don't require the high temps?

Thanks.

Thanks everyone. I will consider replacing some of the gravel. I did know they prefered sand, but they are so cute, I simply couldn't resist buying them, and they are compatible with their tank-mates.
Yes, the Rams like a slightly higher temperature, and the Cories a slightly lower temperature, but I have been told they can both live happily slightly outside that.
So I keep the temperature at around 26C.
I have had the Rams since September. I have had no problems with them so far.
I, when I started the tank, 9 months ago, knew nothing. At first I did what a lot of us did, chucked any random fish in the tank. But i have learned, and am still learning all the time. I have learnt my lesson to research fish before I buy them, so I know a reasonable amount about the fish I keep. :)

Thank you all for your lovely comments,
Kathryn

P.S. I'll get more pics of the Pandas soon. :D

Yes 26C does seem like an obvious compromise.

It's between 24 and 28, so I thought it would be best to keep it at 26. :)
