Never mind the straight dorsal spine. Imo this is a hybrid, of which one of the parents was probably S.eupterus. The neck is very high and steep. I certainly don't want to offend anyone, but I'm afraid I have to go one step further: this is a deformed hybrid....

It does indeed very much look like a hybrid. This obviously depends (given your location) if it is shop bought or caught locally???

I am presuming it's a purchased fish & would go along the hybid identity for this individual
