L134 & Plastic backdrop

Post by chris 1 »

Hi
Could anyone tell me if L134 are likely to encounter any problems with an internal plastic backdrop? I would like to fit one but don't want the fish to ingest any plastic.
Thanks in advance for any advice.

I would say you have nothing to worry about. Peckoltia are not chewers in the same way that Panaque are.

To be on the safe side you may want to buy a specially made one, rather than make one yourself.

Apologies for jumping on this thread. I'm considering getting some L134's or L260's (possibly both!). My tank has a Juwel Rock 450 background, is that safe for them?

Hi GeeFish,
we're obviously thinking along the same lines as i've just added a jewel 600 rock background to my rio 300. It won't be set up for another few weeks and then i'll need to cycle it. I'll keep you posted regarding the L134s when they're introduced. Sorry, forgot to say thanks Racoll!
