maybe a redtail maybe not

hi i bought a catfish today out of pity it was getting its arse kicked in the tank it was in i thought i knew exactly what it was till i got it home and looked at it properly now i think its an asian redtail but im hoping its not if someone can please tell me what it is properly id appreciate it heres a pic

it's about 2inch long and swimming freeley around the tank very active actually not fed it yet as its just settling in

I'm afraid it is very much an asian redtail.
