My new Plecos

Post by Carmencatfish »

I ordered some fish off Trimar and they arrived Friday. I've given them a chance to settle and here are some pics of them. Although the L204 swims around a lot and is out most of the time, taking a pic of this little guy isn't easy. He/she doesn't like my camera, so the pic isn't too good of him/her  .

Also, I got 2 L134's. They are a good size and look very healthy, no sunken bellies or anything. They are very shy at the moment, and one has hidden behind my Fluval filter and the other under a log. I have put frozen shrimp, shrimp pellets, catfish chips and cucumber, but they haven't moved to eat. The one swims around a bit, obviously looking for food, but I am removing whole food still. When should I start worrying???

I also got 1 L204, which started eating pretty much after it was released into the tank. I know because there is wood poop everywhere already and the little guy swims around all the time.

I know with my L260's that they don't eat every day, so since they arrived looking well fed, will they be OK??

I also have 2 SAE's which are the cutest and are already eating all the algae they can find.

Good choice of fish there Carmencatfish.

What's the tapwater in Derbyshire like? Nice and soft with low nitrates?
