Pleco Identification

Post by mpburnell »

Good afternoon. Hoping someone might be able to help me identify this pleco. It is currently 7ish years old and 8-10 inches.

Hi Perry,

Welcome to PlanetCatfish!

The picture alone is not enough to ID accurately, but based on the fish size, shape and the small spots on the head, I suspect it's a type of pleco.

Hopefully someone else can offer a more nuanced opinion.

Cheers, Eric

Hi Jools,

I'm not sure I'm counting the right thing ... maybe 7.
