Thanks for the help!

I'd say my set up can meet their needs. I'll probably get two or three, depending on how many are in stock and what the price is.

Keeping Sturisoma

I'm planning on getting some Sturisoma this week for my 450 litre tank, shop labels them as Sturisoma Aureum. There's not a lot of information out there about them, and though I've read they are best kept in groups, I've not been able to find any information on what the best number to keep is, and ...

Well everyone, the good news is he got better! We cut back feeding to smaller amounts and then alternate days, stopped feeding Bloodworm, and switched to a brand of flake food with quite a bit lower protein content. The growths started going down quite likely and I think they're pretty much all gone ...

Thanks for the help everyone. A lot to think about there!

In regards to diet, I feed King British flake food and catfish pellets, and frozen bloodworm, previously twice a week but now down to about once a week. Any specific alterations you'd advise?

Thanks, could well be diet. Those posts were quite informative. These bubble growths have developed in the last day or two, and I fed bloodworm only a couple of nights ago. Bloodworm seems to have caused us problems in the past. Overfeeding is possible too. The substrate he's on is quite large ...

Strange growths on Corydoras Davidsandsi

Tonight I've noticed several strange 'blobs' on a Corydoras Davidsandsi. It's definitely something that's developed very recently. Water quality is fine (ammonia 0, nitrite 0, nitrate 20ppm, pH about 7, but very hard water), and there are no other signs of disease/illness in the tank, except one ...

Corydoras ID please

Bought 3 of these from Swallow Aquatics at East Harling fairly recently. They were sold as "dwarf nannus corys", but obviously they're not. I put them up another forum and was told they were C. Bilineatus or C. Napoensis, but I've just managed to get a much better photo so I thought I'd throw it up ...

I had the same problem just a minute ago. Tried to refresh the page but got a "500 Internal Server Error".

I was trying to view Brochis Splendens if that helps.

Well that was a nice idea, and I do love Cichlids, but nothing that's going to destroy the tank!

Can anyone give me information on other fish that naturally inhabit the same waters? I can't find any info of that online.

Question on S. Barbatus tankmates

Ok, I have a spare tank sitting upstairs, 30" x 12" x 15". It'll be set up when I move house. I did already have a list of Corys for it written out, but I think I may finally give into temptation and put some Scleromystax Barbatus in it. I'm thinking I'd run it at 20 degrees C. Is that alright for ...
