Sorry to hear of your loss. I can empathize since I just lost two of my four Botia kubotai (due to a combination of bad luck and ignorance, but that's a different story) - definitely a favorite species for me. The silver lining for you is that you live in a place where you can replace lost fish. I ...

San Juan Cories~Personal experiences needed

Hello,

I found a pet store that is carrying four San Juan Cories (which I've heard are rare, which shows in their $13.99 each price tag)and I may be planning on getting them.

Anyone here have personal experiences with them? Like are they sensitive? Easy to breed? ect.

Thanks

C. davidsandsi acting very, very strange

Hi, Ok....I need help! About a month ago I got three beautiful C. davidsandsi. All of them were doing great until about a week and a half ago. One evening, while I was feeding my fish, I noticed 'Y' (I name my fish :)) on of my C. davidsandsis, not eating nor moving. He looked perfectly normal on ...

I got five new Corydoras!

Hello everyone, I'm really excited, I just got five new Cories. I got three 5cm. C. davidsandsi (mislabeled as C. melini), one 3cm. C. sterbai, and one 2.5cm. C. paleatus. I was planning on getting a group of Sterbai...but sadly out of the six they ordered four died and one was on death row so I ...

Convict :!:  That's one of worst tankmates you can get for your cories. Sadz. IMO, your cories are constantly living under stress, as there is a predator/aggressor lurking around. Any wounds/injuries/infections will be greatly worsen in stressed state, leading to death eventually. Qns: How ...

C. cervinus.......died! Help!

Heya everyone, It was a sad day yesterday, my favourite Cory died. I got him (C. cervinus) about 1.5 months ago and since last night he was doing great (I named him Keatoo :D). Keatoo was growing and he was always so busy. Last night I fed my fish bloodworms and I realised he never came out to eat ...

Hey,

Yeah, a clear sign for a Cory being ill is if he/she does not come out to feed. Everyday I watch all my Cories chow down to make sure none are not eating.

Just keep watching your Cory very closely.... maybe try a water change.....it might spunk him up.

A pic would be helpful.

Good luck!

In your opinion, what is the best Cory?

Hey everyone, In a little bit I'm planning to get about 3-5 more Corydoras. And in the past I've researched most species there is, I even went through all the species of Corydoras in the Cat-eLog (that took about 20 hours lol, but I didn't do the ones with out a latin name). But I really need some ...

Hi, They get enough food with out a doubt. The Upside-Downers don't come out until its dark (most of the Cory food is gone by then), the Convicts stick to the other side of the tank were the Cory food does not fall, the CAE is strictly algae, and the Danios will only eat flakes (don't ask me). The ...
