Hi guys, I agree that the barebottom tank looks kinda unnatural. I used to have gravel in my tank but maintenance wise it is really a hassle cuz the amount of poo produced by my plecos are really amazingly mountainous! I siphon once every day or two and the gravel often get sucked up too as I m very ...

Hi, of all the pseudas that I have keep/kept, L160 (spiny monster) and L114 (Leopard Pseudacanthicus) appears to be the most quarrelsome. But the worst of the lot should be the adonis acanthicus(most aggressive when they reach a length of 6"(SL) or more). There will definitely be a squabble or a ...

Hi Fishybiz, u can be garanteed that L25 is really a peaceful pleco even though the spines and spikes on its body look real threatening! I have not heard any complains from fellow L25 keepers in Singapore. The beautiful fellow is really being misunderstood..... My L25s does perform threatening poses ...

The same cannot be said of my L25 which had its caudal extensions snipped off during shipment. Its been many months and the bottom caudal extension had recovered fully and it is about 1.5" long but the top caudal extension just "rounded " itself at the part where it was snipped off and simply refuse ...

Hi Kenneth, I m currently having three 7-8" LDA33 and two 6-7" L133. I think it will be easier to diffentiate them by their body shape. From my obervation, the LDA 33 do have a bigger head compare to the L133. The general shape of the LDA 33 is very similar to that of the L47 and L177 and hence I ...

Hi Kosta, my L177 and L47 did munched on the stalks and the leaves of the few anubias nanas that were already in the tank but they never destroy them completely though. So I guess u will be taking a risk with your echinodorus plants. But my guess is that if u have a piece a tasty zuchinni in ur tank ...

Hi Kosta, I would take the L177. I had 8 pcs of them (2"-4") and they are doing fine in my pleco community tank. My last L47 died for no apparent reason a month ago and I had lost 5 L47s so far. Sigh, I m giving up on them  . Both L177 and L47 are pretty shy and tend to lose out when competing ...

L113 Megalancistrus parananus gets to about 2ft and would require a huge tank. Hi Magnum, Hope u don't mind but I gotta asked this. I thought that L113 is Megalancistrus Gigas and L234 is Megalancistrus Parananus as stated in the L-number book. Anyway, L113 is generally quite peaceful and it max ...
