Re: Mystus bocourti advice
Hello again :) I have secured the other two Mystus bocourti :D :D :D They come home this coming sunday. I am so excited. One is missing her lovely dorsal and it gave me trouble IDing her as what remains of it was a solid grey colour, not nice and transparent, but she has the gold flashes behind her ...

Re: Mystus bocourti advice
haha Julie makes a good brew - this is true :P I am back down at the end of Jan to loaf about the shop for a few days. Whenever I get stressed my husband shoves me on a train for the day and I get to look at fish all day. It is the greatest shop I've set foot in! My husband keeps threatening to ...

Re: Mystus bocourti advice
That is where this lad came from haha. I've already asked Neil about getting more - he thinks he has two left and will check for me. Going to ask if he can get more in the future or see about making another trip down. They are fantastic looking fish! I've only ever seen them in Pier, but these days ...

Mystus bocourti advice
Hello :) I have a 6.5x2x2 foot tank with plenty of hides - could I keep 3 of these guy in there happily? Are they as hard to find as the Fish of the Month page on them says? Other fish would be: 2x plecs, 2x senegal bichir, and some clown loaches in a few years when they are big enough haha. There ...

Re: Hemibagrus of some kind? Photo heavy
I think I will be asking around for someone to take him, there is just no way I can house him for life. Now I know why the tank was free! it is a shame, he seems like a really good little guy, but oscars and polys are about the largest fish I can really get away with - aside from my gibby, but I ...

Re: Hemibagrus of some kind? Photo heavy
Kind of like betas then, some are cool with other fish, some aren't. Size wise, what is realistic for him? At the moment he is in a 60x20x24 inch tank. The largest tank I have is 78x24x24 inch. Could he live happily in either of these? Probably as an only fish, or with two large plecos - I have ...

Re: Hemibagrus of some kind? Photo heavy
not good news then :/ Are they as bad as the PC profile says? The last owner says he's been with other fish forever and not eaten anyone, but at 2 foot he is hardly full grown. Off to google some more info on them I think! Hmm. Says can reach 50 inches, but 20-24 inches is more common? Is this true ...

Hemibagrus of some kind? Photo heavy
Hello. This is a fish that has turned up with a free tank. Beh. Was told he was a small catfish with a red tail - so hoped for a plec or syno. Then was told he was an RTC, but I think he really isn't unless he is the strangest coloured one ever. I had a good hard look and I think Hemibagrus wyckii ...

Re: S.Schall or Nigrita, colour is off for one and has spots :/
Hm, I don't think Schall at all then, either that or he is on drugs  he is the calmest fish in the tank, and has moved from inside the cave to sitting on top of it - I don't think he likes the bare glass. He really just sits there and takes the occasional in-the-faceness of the S. euptera where ...

Re: S.Schall or Nigrita, colour is off for one and has spots :/
wow, at this rate he could outlive me haha. I saw him pick at some flake last night, but spit it back out. There is enough food for everyone, and always left overs that I have to scoop out the next morning as the oscar never eats the same amount twice, so its all guess work, but normally there is ...

Re: S.Schall or Nigrita, colour is off for one and has spots :/
Donno - he is maybe 6 inches SL, reading that he should be 14.. He is at least 4 years old, I use to think he changed size, but looking at some really old pics and he doesn't seem to have changed at all other then going more brown. Will have to try to scan the old pics in, but they are a bit badly ...

Re: S.Schall or Nigrita, colour is off for one and has spots :/
Not sure I can fit 4 more of them in a 5 foot when its time for the clowns to move, will have to think about it though! I've tried, sat for ages in the dark with just a night light so I can just see and never saw him move. He must do at some time. I had originally thought he had gotten stuck and ...

S.Schall or Nigrita, colour is off for one and has spots :/
http://www.phoenixfish.co.uk/image/forpierforum/Synodontis/MG01_2009-09-13.jpg This is Mr Grey, one of my 3 rescued Synos. He use to be more grey and is now more brown. I had thought when he was smaller he was bang on a Juvi S. bastiani. However when he went missing 3 years ago I gave up trying to ...

LOL mine trashed the fake ones and left the real ones :P I donno. I gave up on counting and watching. They all seem there still, though they've distroyed all the java moss in the tank, other then that they all seem ok. Not noticed any dead ones, touch wood. I wont be getting more though, I'll get a ...

to be honest I wouldn't think at the moment you are over stocked. If you left them there while they grow to adults you may be, but at the moment it sounds fine. I would think in this case you may be over feeding them a tad if you're getting spikes still. :) I over feed all my fish LMAO! Specially my ...

Unfortunately during the morning feed he looked fine, though on closer inspection he was actually still upright but dead. So I am guessing when he "looked fine" last night (I know they often die "standing up" but I hate to poke them until they haven't moved in some time as it just stresses them out ...

Hiya Ian :) My pandas were microscopic when I got them! So sad. Any idea where I could get some better stock? the clowns are moving to a bigger tank soon, I just worry that the bigger clowns will out eat the little ones. My husband keeps corys and clowns, will have to offer him a swap :) Thanks so ...

ANOTHER panda down!
So went to the fish room to feed the little dears, and one of my little pandas was swishing about and kept falling on his side. This tank is on a different floor and has its own set of kit and is no way related to the other tank I am having problems with (here: http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum ...
