Well, I´m not 100% positively, absolutely sure it´s a true Schall. It´s quite difficult to find out what specie he is. . But I think he is. However, I will try and get a picture of him (Only problem is that he mostly comes out at night. . ) But he is a kind of territorial fish. . He´s beaten othe ...

Buying fish when it is winter. .
Hi all! Well, a funny question perhaps, but. . I´ve noticed that a lot of fish in my LFS are sick when it´s winter. I also heard something about Ichtyophthirius multifilis (Fish Killer Disease) is at loose when the water´s cold. Do you know something about that? I don´t want to buy sick fish, but ...

That sounds great! I must admit that I have sort of a soft spot for these beautiful fishes. In my LFS the to species of Dianema are kept together, and they´re pretty much the same size, but perhaps it´s better taking the ones without stripes, if they don´t get so large. Still, it´s odd that they ...

My crayfish (well, it sounds far out, but. .) does the same motion as my corys do. he jerks his eyes in the same odd fashion and he always does it while he´s cleaning his body and eyes with its legs. Obviously that doesn´t mean that it´s excately what the corys do, but on the other hand that´s a ...

Kryptopterus minor (Glass catfish)
Hi all. I´ve read about the Kryptopterus minor (glass catfish) in the "Catfish of the Month" from 1997, but I still have some questions. Is it very rare, that the real glass catfish is seen in petstores? How can you tell the difference between that and it´s cousin, the false glass catfish? Are the ...

Dianema urostriatum
Hi all! Well, I´ve thought about buying some Dianema urostriatum for my 180 liters aquarium. They´re so beautiful, but I´ve read different things about them in different books and on Planet Catfish, so I´m a little confused. Is it a fish you need to keep in groups? Are they hardy or do they easil ...

P. Ornatus does look very beautiful. But. . well, the Cate-log says almost excately the same about P. Ornatus as it says about P. Pictus. . What´s the difference? I mean, so that it would be a better tankmate for the crayfish? Is it more active? Still, I won´t be buying new fish for the next ...

Pimelodus pictus
Hi all! I´m searching for a catfish to match my 180 liters aquarium in which there already lives a Cherax Destructor (crayfish), and an Oscar Cichlid. Then my thoughts wandered towards a Pimelodus Pictus. Fast, beautiful. . but still it´s hard to find out whether it´s suitable or not. . I´ve look ...

Do any of you now, what a Noxius Pleco is?? I got the specie recommended for my tank with my crayfish. . but I can´t find out what the scientific name is. . While we´re at it with my crayfish once again. . Do you think some Bagrid Pseudostomus are suitable? The tank is 180 liters. . the crayfish is ...

Well. . it´s almost always from some sort of furniture. . But I´ve jumped from a car one year, when I wasen´t near a couch. The trick is to not jump from something too high. . Well, I stayed up until 4 o´clock after watching a lot of fireworks (We´re quite fond of fireworks in Denmark - unfortunately three people got killed this year due to heavy fireworks), jumping into the new year from a couch, wearing my "beautiful" new year hat and throwing coins at each other. Ha ...
