Hi,
You will be in NY city?
I do not know LFS in NY city itself, but I wanted to go there : http://www.nyaquarium.com/ That is planned for next time.

Still in NY state, I have seen a few there : http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=25394&p=149423&hilit=albany#p149423

Re: LFS in Albany, NY area?

Hi,

Thank for your answer. Plainfield is a bit to far (about 3,5 hour drive one way) to see just one shop which may be closed. It is true I had not precised how much I am willing to drive, so about 1,5H maximum drive (one way) around Albany is fine.

I have found a few other shops. I did visit 2 ...

LFS in Albany, NY area?

Hi,

I was sent to the US for my job, and I am currently in the Albany, NY area. As I am stuck for the week end, I was wondering if there were good fish place to see.

I have seen today :
Benson's Pet Center in Wolf Road, Colonie. Not a lot of fish in the tanks, but some beautiful Gourami.

Hi,

So, I had the opportunity to go to maidenhead aquatics yesterday as it was really close to parbold. I was already impressed as it is really clean and already a good size! It is basically bigger than what i use to see in France, and closer in size and quality of what I have seen in Germany.

Uk visit - Closed to wigan

Hi All,

Tomorrow I will drive to UK, to spend some time in my family in law.
I will be located in Parbold, closed to Wigan, and I expect to see some "fishy" places of interest!

As far I understood, there are Pier Aquatics in Wigan and Britains Aquatic Superstore Ltd in Bolton.

Are there any ...

Hi,

I am not one expert, but I would say it is a male.
For me a female would be larger at the pectoral fins level.

Let's see what the expert think about it.

Re: Taking care of a sick L066

Hi,

I have no magic solution to propose. Just try to increase seriously the volume of disolved oxgen in your tank, that will help her to fight the deasise.

Do you know if she is injured under the white coton? if so, you can desinfect with bétadine (povidone-iodine) and apply some vaseline to cover ...

Hi Carp37,
I hope you and your fishes will be fine. You are doing the right thing by changing water and removing the remaining courgette.

In the future, instead of several slices, just put a bigger portion : even if your male will chase the others at the beginning, he will let the courgette once he ...

Hi,

I agree with Birger, that is not uncommon.

Your baby BN needs hidding place where it can be/feel safe. It can be plants, stones or roots.

You can put it back in the tank, and try to improve your layout to make it feel safer.

By the way, how big is the baby?

See you,
Matien
