Iâ??ve never had one, but I have several Primlodus pictus and they are not bad to care for. Not picky eaters either. If they can catch it and get it in their mouth, it's fair game to them. They love bloodworms too, get the frozen cubes and they will tear them apart. Also, mine like to hide every so ...

I know. I'm regretting that I did not quarantine that fish today as Ick claimed the lives of my two favorite pictus. Strangely they did not seem to be showing symptoms as much as the other fish in the tank, but they are small in comparison to my other fish so it probably effected them the most.

Ick!!!

Well. I have managed to get Ick into my cat tank by way of a new addition that had it. :( I'm to frustrated to think now so Iâ??m going to ask why Iâ??m noticing that my Arius seemani's are looking far worse off than my other critters in the tank. I mean. All are showing symptoms but there really b ...

I think I'll try that next. I understand that as these mature they prefer to have more vegetable based food, but, I have no idea how old he is aside from the two years that my friend had him. I donâ??t even know what his lifespan is. :?

what do iridesent sharks like to eat?

Help! I recently had to inherit a Pangasius hypophthalmus (Iridescent Shark) from a friend who could no longer care for it. I am having trouble getting him to eat. My friend had him in a large community aquarium for a few years, but, he had such a variety of food for the many different inhabitants ...

Black fin shark?

Has anybody ever heard of an Arius seemani being referred to as a black fin shark?

My LFS is selling what they are calling black fin sharks. They look like Arius seemani but it is difficult for me to tell without having one here in front of me to compare the two.

From theses pictures it does not appear to be either of the two.

The head area has the same patterns but the rest of the body patterning, to me, looks different.

I have acquired a digital camera and will be posting a picture of it later tonight.

Thanks for your help thus far.

I will post a picture here of this fish as soon as possible. The closest match appears to be that of Hypostomus L290 but this is only based on the pictures that I've seen of that cat. The pattern is the same as in the cat e log pic from the head to the front edge of the dorsal fin, after that, it ...
