API do a product called Nitra Zorb that i've used on numerous occasions and comes in a couple of sizes. This selectively reduces nitrite, ammonia and nitrate without using bacteria and sits in your filter or in the path of waterflow. It's recharged every 5 days using an aquarium salt solution and ...

Managed to get a good look at the Opal yesterday and he now appears to have a white patch at the base of his fin. Looks like fungus to me so i've dosed the tank with fungus/finrot treatment. The Severum and large plec have now been moved to another tank. I managed to get a picture, a little blurry ...

I recently removed 2 large cichlids out of the tank after deciding to setup my tank for plecs. These were generally the bosses of the tank so maybe the Severum is exerting a bit of authority at night ...

I'm running a 180l Juwel tank so the filter is pretty much fixed. Current isn't too bad but will look into the powerhead suggestion.
(my LFS tried to claim theid cost £40+)
Good ole LFS eh!! I've just had to find a new one as some fish were about as over priced as the powerhead you were ...

Help on New L260!!
I have a Queen Arabesque coming in about a week. After reading the Cat e log on the L260 I've put a 9in air stone and an air disk in to increase aeration and current. I have bog wood, caves and was wondering if there are any other top tips on prep I can do to help her before she gets here??
