Usually with catfish it's best to if medication is needed to add a half dosage. I own a bumblebee catfish and it is fine Im not sure on their hardiness to medication however.

This may be a little daft but although the orginal case was not, could any of your featherfins merely have heater burn? They are notorious for lodging themselves next to the heater and heater burns look white and kind of like scabs

I use a external, internal & hang on filter in my tanks with play sand in it...Play sand compacts more but is easy for the fishes barbels and my spiny eel can still burrow... I have had no problems with any of my filters just remember to turn them off when doing tank maintenence as not to suction up ...

As a owner of Australian Eel tailed catfish also I would expect it to be a Tandanus Tandanus as they seem the most common and more likely to imported than the other Aussie eel tails. Need 100% Clarification

I have had this catfish for 6 months or more, I believe I know what the catfish is however I want to be 100% and also I am after information about the catfish in question as I have researched and only small parts of information are found.
